The first creature I created in 3ds Max with no tutorial, made after 2-3 days of beginning to teach myself how to use the program. I imported my own sketch as a texture to a plane which I set up in the 3ds work space to use as a reference.
The first creature I created in 3ds Max with no tutorial, made after 2-3 days of beginning to teach myself how to use the program. I imported my own sketch as a texture to a plane which I set up in the 3ds work space to use as a reference.
Two of the areas I struggled with were figuring out how to symmetrically alter the model to adjust body shape as well as the ears, and figuring out how to UV unwrap my own model without any guidelines. This was particularly difficult due to discrepancies between the 2017 version of 3ds (which I was using) and the 2016 version which most online guides and articles refer to.
